Hi, my name is David O’Toole also known as Dáithí, Dave, guitanorak and a few others I’m sure :), and I was born in Dublin, Ireland.

I’m married to my darling Swiss wife “Sandie”, and we have a beautiful daughter “Joy”.

I’ve been playing the guitar for just under 30 years at this stage and I still love it as much as when I first fell in love with it. I think the word “obsessed” would be more appropriate :).

I like to play lots of different styles from Blues to Pop and all in between. I don’t have one favorite guitarist in particular there’s too many at this stage. But some players/bands worth pointing out would have to be Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy), Coldplay, Buckethead, Eric Johnson, The Edge/U2, Paco de Lucia, and Albert King.

I’m also into Computers, building web sites and the internet.

This blog is part of one of my websites called ‘Dreamsounds4guitar’. Dreamsounds4guitar is all about the seemingly dying art (well to me anyway), of how to get great Tone from the electric guitar. So there could be all sorts of related posts made. Basically if its about the guitar it could well be in.

I teach guitar aswell so there’ll be plenty of tips thrown in the mix covering that end of things to.
